From Ngorongoro to Serengeti

After making our way through the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, we headed straight to the Serengeti Nationalpark. 🙂

To continue our safari in wide savannah plains of Serengeti, was great! This 14.673 square kilometers big area is Tanzanias oldest and biggest Nationalpark and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Let`s go!

On the way to our first destination, the Serngeti Wild Camp, our “animal spree” continued and on the first kilometers we already spotted the first lion! Many others followed. 🙂

Two nights in the Serengeti wild camp

Staying in a wild camp in Serengeti is something we highly recommend whenever you go to visit this area! This camps are made of big, more or less luxury tents in the middle of the savannah – and if you’re lucky, maybe some animals are visiting. 🙂 We were at Serengeti Wild Camp which was lovely and had a leopard right next to the camp, two hyanaes roaming around our tents and a retired buffallo watching us during dinner!

Even the second day was rich in animals and we made our way through the heart of the Serengeti further North…

Finding paradise at Lobo Wildlife Lodge

Our thirs night in the Serengeti was meant to be more luxury again and we were recommended to visit the Lobo Wildlife Lodge, on of the oldest and best-known lodges in the whole Serengeti – and we were not disappointed!

The lodge had a great pool made of real stone and great views of the wide plains of the Northern Serengeti. We saw giraffes, buffalo and gazelles from our balcony and were speechless by the sheer beauty of this place.. 🙂

After amazing three days in the Serengeti, we had to continue to make our way to a more remote place, the Lake Natron are!

Thanks so much Serengeti, it was a pleasure! 🙂
